As long as I can remember, dogs and cats have been a part of my life. Pets were present throughout my childhood and I carried on this tradition into my adult life. I often brought my two Samoyeds with me to school functions and classroom parties. I spent 15 years in the rewarding field of Early Childhood and cared for numerous children, their families, and their pets. My passion for animals grew with every new dog or cat that I cared for. In this time these pets have added to my life in ways that I had not imagined! I made a decision to follow my heart into a new adventure and began Waggin' and Walkin'. To me pet care is much more than a business. It is something I very much enjoy. I get as much from the pets that I care for as I give, in terms of love, kindness, and having fun! It is a wonderful feeling to show up at a families' home and have the animals happy to see you, and wanting to spend time with you. I hope that through our business we bring peace of mind to owners and happiness to their pets!

One of the things I’ve always loved about having dogs is how they ground you to the joy of life and make everyone smile and want to say hi or chat with eachother. Whether it’s seeing the same people every day on a walk or watching our pup meet new friends, she opens us up to a circle of other dog lovers. I spent some time living in New York and Southern California trying to write stories whenever possible and spending time making kissy faces at dogs. When I was growing up, I aspired to be a writer or veterinarian but ended up working in an office. When Laura came to me with the thought of caring for animals I thought what a fun, challenging, and rewarding job that would be! The animals we have been lucky enough to care for have brought us great fullfillment and joy!
